State Associations, District Associations are requested to furnish the following for the purpose of coverage in the
AICF Chronicle.
1. The Tournament Report, A descriptive report by
the organizer / Chief Arbiter detailing the conduct of the tournament including
the names of the Chief Guests at the Inauguration and Prize
Distribution functions
2. The final standings and special prizes, if any
3. Games in the PGN format
4. Photos ( atleast five ) of the tournament with
captions detailing the persons in the photograph from left to right.

Instructor Courses is being held in India for the first time and was inaugurated
by J.C.D. Prabhakaran, Vice President of the Tamil Nadu State Chess Association
at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on May 1.

awarded FIDE titles as and when they reach a certain ELO Ratings as detailed
below : -

achieving a published rating at some time or other.

1.32 Candidate Master 2200 Elo
Title Fees : Rs.5000/-

Hence, we appeal to all those players who fall
within the ambit of above ELO rating to kindly apply immediately so that AICF
can apply for your FIDE Title. Players will benefit while playing in the
tournaments by getting better facilities if they are FIDE title holders.
Besides, this will also help many of our players to gain title norms. For
instance in a Title tournament a player has to play 5 Titled players to get a
Norm. When there are more title holders our Indian players will have more
chances to gain IM, GM, WIM and WGM norms. - 31st
