Four Indian players in men, Surya Shekhar Ganguly,

Asian Individual Championship for the World Cup in
Russia later this year.
Four of the ten qualifiers came from India and another
four from China made it. Rest of the two places went to
Vietnam and the Philippines at one apiece.
Among women, only three players qualify for the World
Women's Championship of 2010 at Turkey but since Huang
Qian of China who was placed second had already
qualified, fourth placed WGM S. Meenakshi of Chennai
